I have been a member of MSF for lots of years and ACNUR for the last couple of years too. Today I got this video from MSF. It reminded me of Afghanistan and THE BREADWINNER, a book I have read with my students before.
Let's watch the video. You may become interested in reading the book and perhaps more ideas will come up to help refugees or at least to find out about them, the problems they have to face to reach Europe, how they manage to survive, etc.
By the way, the link from the book will take you an interesting page for people who love reading (reviews, suggestions, reading marathons, and a lot more).
The writer, DEBORAH ELLIS, is an amazing person. If you want to know about her, click on her name and find out. She has done a lot for refugees. What can we do? Any ideas?
This blog has been created to share news, projects, videos and everything I may find interesting with my students. I will also upload their work and anything I consider useful for them to improve their English. Everybody is welcome. Formerly known as Englishasbarxas, I have now adopted the name of my new school: IES ROU. PALMIRA CALVAR
